A day at sea on a luxury boat
Ocean Festival Adeje
Get in training now because this is going be a marathon of dance music! 12 hours of real energy from the likes of Miss Nine and 10 other artists and it's all on your door step at the Adeje Football Ground. Standard tickets cost €15 with a drink thrown in or you could go for the VIP package of €40 which includes a free bar... bearing in mind you'll be there for 12 hours it's good to keep hydrated... hell yeh!

TEN-DIEZ is a movement created by ten photographers based in Tenerife, Canary Islands. They have united with the intention of displaying a particular view of how they perceive their artistic environment, beyond the exotic geography that surrounding us and with photography as a medium of expression, using different languages and photographic processes. Their motivation is to have a closer and more extensive interaction with the public, involving ourselves actively in the process required to create an image, demonstrating it to the audience and collect direct feedback from them, contact between creators and spectators.
A community cultural event they’ve been working on since November 2011. Moving from idea to concept has now been backed by over 25 local businesses & 4 International manufacturers & platforms.
The TEN DIEZ MOVEMENT can proudly present a 8 day long event combining of photography from some of Tenerife’s most creative individuals, Live Music and Short-films from 20 local & world renowned video & cinematographers.

Victoria is born
Loro Parque announces a unique event with the birth of the second orca in its OrcaOcean facility. This is a major milestone for the breeding programme, of which Loro Parque is extremely proud because reproduction is the most important factor confirming the well-being of the animals at the site, which was specially created for these marine mammals.
Kohana, the new mother, is 10 years old and was born in San Antonio in Sea World in the USA. She gave birth last night to her second calf, weighing in at 152 kilos, and after 2 hours of labour. She was attended and assisted constantly by a team of veterinarians, biologists and her trainers. Just moments after the birth, the baby, which measures 2.40 metres, instinctively swam to the surface to take his first breath. ‘It is a very important day for all of us at Loro Parque as this birth is clear evidence of the well-being that all our animals enjoy’ said Miguel Díaz, Orca trainer Chief. “The little calf is strong, swims with energy and we are very happy to have the privilege to see how it grows up” remarked Diaz.

Golf Costa Adeje
The Golf Costa Adeje is a Course which stands out because of its singularity of its routes, its stone walls, and for the sandy areas, with black sand, which limit its beautiful fairways, turning it into a unique course.
Magma Fest
First of all, July 14th, Magmafest, for electronic music lovers.
From July on, Magma also presents the show "History, the musical". A new resident show performance by 26 artists from 15 countries that pays tribute to the best composers, performers and bands in the history of Music.
Carnival on Tenerife
As mentioned above, Tenerife hosts the second largest Carnival in the world! Carnival has a long history here on Tenerife and is celebrated in lots of villages on the island. The ´Big Festivities´ however, will take place in Santa Cruz. Read more (enlace al blog).
As from January 25th, candidates have been presenting themselves and this month, February 15th, the festivities take off with the elections of the ‘Reina 2012’ (Carnival Queen). All candidates will be participating later on (Feb. 21st) in ‘El Coso’, an amazing parade which is truly an event not to be missed: beautiful wagons, amazing dance groups, extraordinary costumes, gorgeous dresses, and of course everyone having fun! The parade starts at about 5.00pm and lasts several hours. Beautiful photos from the previous years are posted on this website.
The night before ‘El Coso’ is the biggest party night in Santa Cruz, not in bars, not in clubs, but in the streets of Santa Cruz! Imagine thousands of people, dressed up and dancing, the city centre of Santa Cruz filled with stages where local singers perform, squares where dj´s play music, etc., that’s what the Monday night is about! Each year Carnival has a theme, and this year it’s Flower Power, so get out your best costume and get ready to party!
